The xcv app

xcv is distributed through the Mac App Store. Your use of xcv is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA). There is no separate license agreement for xcv.

In short, that agreement lets you use xcv on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Usage Rules, and includes the usual warranty and liability terms. Where the Standard EULA refers to the “Application Provider”, that is Ryan Collins.

Trial and in-app purchase

• xcv is free to download and includes a 14-day trial of all features, counted from when you first open it.
• After the trial, xcv keeps working with limits: it shows your newest 25 history items and allows up to 3 pins. Older items are hidden, not deleted.
• “Unlock xcv” is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that removes these limits. It is not a subscription. You can restore it on any Mac signed in to the same Apple Account with Restore Purchases.
• Payments, refunds and Family Sharing are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms. Refund requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com.

xcv, its icon and this website are © 2026 Ryan Collins. All rights reserved. xcv is closed source and contains no third-party code.

Your clipboard history is yours. xcv never sends it anywhere, and nothing in these terms gives me any rights to it.
